Hey lovelies! While these past two months have been amazing, I want July to be even better and keep reaching new heights! This is a post just to solidify my goals for the month of June, both in terms of blogging, and my life! Lifestyle goals: Work out at least once a week. I know this one doesn't seem like much, but to say I hate working out is an understatement. This month, I want to start working out at least once
How I Chose the Right College For Me
Hello lovelies! Usually my posts tend to be more on the instructive side of college advice, but today I wanted to share more of a personal experience about how I chose the right college for me! Although it is a bit more personal, I hope me experience can help you chose which college is right for you. When I did college visits the summer before my senior year I visited three schools. Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt, and Ball State. My parents and I went on a four day road trip and hit all three schools rapid fire. Going into the experience, I had a checklist and a pro/con list for each school. I was looking for things like nice dorms, pretty campus, and a good program in what I was majoring in
Leaving for College Playlist
Whenever something big is happening in my life, my favorite thing to do is make a playlist! I make playlists for when I'm sad, in love, or things are changing. When I graduated high school, I made a playlist of songs relating to leaving/moving on, and listened to it pretty much non-stop. I even made a specific CD to listen to while I drove to school on move-in day (my parents were in a separate car) and listened to it 3 full times on the 4 hour drive. So, without further ado, here is a playlist of songs that make me have all the feels about graduation and moving away from home. Just FYI, I really listen to almost every type of music, so there is pop, rock, alternative, and country on this

Even if you haven't started college yet, you can still start working to build that resume and improve yourself! Volunteer! After high school, the volunteer hours you collected are wiped away. Scholarship and job committees don't care about what you did in high school! They only care about what you have done in your

I originally wrote this post when my great grandmother passed away earlier this year, and I am updating it now with my most recent loss during this school year. These losses made me realize that a lot of college students go through some type of loss during their four years in college. It can be really tough to lose someone when you're trying to deal with classes and the stresses of college. Here are my tips for dealing with loss during your college years. The most important things to do is tell your professors as soon as possible. It isn't fun to type out those emails right after losing a
Tips for Maintaining a Long Distance Relationship in College
For many students, college can mean not only leaving your friends and family, but also leaving behind your significant other. Even a one hour drive can be a transition for a relationship that has never had to deal with separation before. A long distance relationship requires dedication and commitment from both parties, and sometimes the separation can be tough. When I first started college, I was single and had no intentions of meeting anyone, let alone dealing with a long distance relationship. For one semester, I enjoyed the new world of college, and then almost completely on accident fell in love. I met my boyfriend over winter break, and once I went back to school we were 5 ½ hours
